This afternoon we go up for his 2 year recheck of his teeth with the very skilled veterinary dentist Dr. Hale in Guelph.
The appointment will include him being fully anesthetized, full oral radiographs, dental charting and a clean/polish at this point. If there is anything going on that can be addressed/repaired at this point, that will also be done. Blood work done on him on the weekend looks fantastic and organ function looks fine to tolerate the anesthetic.
He is not pleased with me this morning as his stomach is not enjoying the no breakfast situation and as I type this he staring at me with very sad eyes. Poor baby...
This appointment is a big one for us as it will indicate how is mouth (esp. teeth) is tolerating the bite work in schutzhund and if it is something we can continue with at this point.
Ah yes!! Dr Hale the TOOTH VET... did some mighty fine work on Hobbes when wild golf balls knocked snapped off his eye tooth!
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well for I know you want to continue on with Dieter. He sure has the heart for the training you are doing.
Will be praying for you.
P.S. So glad you are enjoying your new home.
Hope your appointment went well today!
ReplyDeleteRiva is sending play bows and Hugs to Dieter!
